Message from the Executive Director
It gives me great pleasure, as the Executive Director of West Sound Wildlife Shelter, to personally welcome you to a very special night benefiting the West Sound Wildlife Shelter. This year we celebrate our 19th Call to the Wild Gala Auction and our 31st birthday!
On behalf of our Board, faculty, and staff of West Sound Wildlife, we thank you for your participation in our annual benefit auction. Your championing directly supports the live saving medial services provided to more than 1600 sick, injured, or orphaned wildlife patients annually. The Call to the Wild Gala is the Shelter’s most important fundraiser event of the year. The funds raised tonight, through our silent and live auctions, will save the lives of wildlife by significantly funding our wildlife rehabilitation hospital and education program’s.
West Sound Wildlife Shelter is the only wildlife rehabilitation hospital on the Kitsap Peninsula. When wildlife on the peninsula are in need of medical help, there is only one facility available and that is West Sound Wildlife Shelter. 31 years ago, the Shelter served 345 patients our inaugural year. In 2023, we expect to treat over 1600 patients! The needs grow exponentially every year and this is why we need you.
